Manager

“I have been working at Bright Start since 2000. I have an Early Years Foundation Degree, as well as special educational needs training, and first aid qualifications. I am married to John and we have two sons, James who is a production manager and Jack who is a developer. I thoroughly enjoy my role here and hope you and your child enjoy your time with us.”

George Isbister

Deputy Manager

“I have worked at Bright Start since 2004 and hold the position of Deputy Manager, Literacy Coordinator, and Child Behaviour Coordinator. I have a Diploma in Pre School Practice. I am passionate about working with children, and look forward to your child being with us at Bright Start Pre School.”

  • Nat Allen

    “I have been at Bright Start since 2004 and hold a Diploma in Childcare, I live locally with my husband and our three children. I enjoy showing children the differences between themselves and others, and do this by sharing my own culture. During the summer I usually go home to Italy!”

  • Gill Cherry

    “I moved to Carterton in September 2009 along with my husband and three sons. I started working at Bright Start in January 2010. I have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years Care & Education and have over 20 years experience working with pre-school age children.”

  • Helen Puddefoot

    “I have worked at Bright Start since September 2011. I have gained a Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce. I especially enjoy being involved with children who have Special Educational Needs.”

  • Jan Piper

    “I am a retired teacher and have taught Foundation Stage in the area for 15 years. I have a large, grown up family and a growing number of grandchildren. I have a B.Ed (hons) QTS wth a specialism in Early Years. I am delighted to be working in a pre school setting and look forward to getting to know your child and sharing in their learning.”

    “I started working at Bright Start in October 2016. I have 4 children, 2 sons, and my 2 daughters, who have both attended Bright Start. As my children are now school age, this is the ideal opportunity to think about a new career. I have a Level 3 qualification which has given me a fantastic insight into child development.”

  • Jessica Lester

    “I have worked part time at Bright Start since February 2018. Since starting I have completed my Level 2 and 3 Early Years qualifications. I am a mother of 3 girls who also attended Bright Start! I thoroughly enjoy my job and enjoy seeing children achieve and learn new skills - each day is different and I find it very rewarding.”

  • Committee

    Bright Start Preschool is a committee run charitable organisation. The committee is made up of parent members and other interested parties. The committee make decisions on how the pre-school is run and it is a very rewarding role. We are always looking for more volunteers!
